Company

Cedric Solice, a native of Washington, D.C., brings a leadership background and experience that spans across twenty-five years in multiple professional fields.  Completing his collegiate education in the field of music, Cedric enjoyed a highly distinguished career as an instructor, adjudicator, and national clinician in the musical arts.  His leadership origins began with his role as a drill and marching instructor for marching bands and world class drum and bugle corps throughout the United States, leading to multiple world titles and various championships.

 

Following his musical arts career, Cedric served the women's basketball program at Syracuse University in a number of professional capacities for fifteen seasons.  As an assistant coach, Cedric helped lead the 2015-2016 team to an appearance in the national championship game of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.  Serving as a basketball coach, administrator, and clinician on the global stage allowed Cedric to share his love and passion for the game of basketball while providing guidance and leadership to staff members, advisors, and athletes in the countries of Turkey, Poland, Italy, Thailand, Taiwan, Brazil, Cuba, and Canada.  He earned a gold and silver medal with the staffs of USA Team Men's Basketball in 2019 and 2017 during the World University Games.

 

During his time in corporate America, Cedric worked as a collegiate recruiting specialist for the Fortune 500 company Builders FirstSource where he helped lead the effort to provide entry level management opportunities through internships and trainee vacancies to deserving college students, transitioning professionals, and transitioning military members.  The successful launching and execution of the first ever summer internship program at Builders FirstSource was a significant accomplishment of note for Cedric during his tenure with the company.  A number of college students were able to secure full-time career track opportunities at Builders FirstSource as a result of the recruitment and internship management efforts Cedric spearheaded.

 

In 2022, Cedric founded and launched CLS Leadership Solutions LLC for the purpose of challenging leaders to investigate their own leadership capacity through the exploration of a variety of subjects, thoughts, and methods with the ultimate goal of developing today's leaders for tomorrow.  He has been blessed with the distinct honor of serving as a keynote speaker and presenter for a range of respected organizations and institutions, delivering impactful insights on a wide array of topics.  Cedric provides private consultation to various senior officers and senior enlisted members of the U.S. military, corporate general managers, and other industry leaders in the areas of leadership, career planning and management, cultural development with a focus on liability management, and organizational management.
